Plant Cashew Trees. Grow a Sustainable Future.
We have the opportunity to plant 1,000 cashew trees in Sierra Leone, creating a long-term source of income that could help fund our projects for years to come.
Our local team has spent the past six months planting groundnuts, sweet potatoes, oranges and plantain, helping us grow more food for the children and communities we support.
Now, we have the chance to take this farming project one big step further.
Planting 1,000 cashew trees isn’t simply about growing cashews.
Once established, the trees could provide a sustainable source of locally generated income for our projects. In around 5–6 years, the cashew harvest could potentially cover close to the cost of schooling for the children we support.
That means a donation made today could continue creating impact for many years into the future.
And there is another important benefit: cashews are a nutritious food that can contribute to the nutritional health of children and families in the communities we support.
Our goal is to raise $3,000 to plant the entire garden.
Your donation helps cover the cost of clearing and preparing the land, planting the trees and purchasing the young cashew plants from local farmers.
Plant 10 trees — $30
Plant 20 trees — $60
Plant 50 trees — $150
Plant 100 trees — $300
Plant the whole garden — $3,000
Every tree brings us one step closer to creating a more sustainable future for our projects.
Our goal isn’t simply to grow food. It’s to build sustainable, locally driven projects that can create ongoing benefits for the communities we support.
The cashew trees will take several years to mature, but that is exactly what makes this opportunity so exciting. We’re investing in something today that has the potential to keep giving back long into the future.
🌱 Sustainable income
Future cashew harvests could generate income that can be reinvested directly into our projects.
🥜 Better nutrition
Cashews are a nutritious food that can contribute to the diets of children and families in the communities we support.
👩🏾🌾 Supporting local farmers
The cashew plants will be purchased from local farmers, keeping the investment within the local community.
🌳 A long-term investment
Unlike a one-off project, these trees can continue producing for years once established.
100% of your donation goes directly towards planting the cashew trees and establishing this project.
