Give the Gift of HOPE this Christmas
At I Am Someone, our mission is to lift orphaned children out of poverty and create real, lasting change. We do this through providing food, shelter, education, healthcare and community development just to name a few. But we can’t do any of this without the support of our donors.
Right now in Uganda, we have 35 children in desperate need of help. We need 35 new donors to transform 35 futures.
Become a supporter today to help create the next wave of change.

$100 Monthly

The most cost-effective way of giving is by setting up an ongoing bank transfer and confirming your donation with us, alternatively you can use the donation form on this page.

Meet the Children
The Cause
We have identified 35 children in Uganda living in poverty with no family support who desperately need donors to help transform their futures.
So far with the support of our donors, we’ve seen children go from being homeless to becoming surgeons. We want to help create the same hope and prospects for these children, with the help of 35 new donors.
Donate today to create real, lasting change.
Our Impact
Meet the Founder
Steve, the visionary behind I AM SOMEONE, embarked on a transformative journey to redefine charitable giving. With nearly 30 years of experience in international development, Steve was determined to establish an organisation that ensures donors’ money reaches where it makes the most significant impact.
In 2005, driven by his profound passion for improving the lives of children and fostering positive change in remote communities, Steve founded I AM SOMEONE to provide a clear and effective path for donors to see their contributions create real, lasting change.
Steve’s commitment to this mission was ignited by a deeply personal experience. In 2000, witnessing the devastating plight of child soldiers in Sierra Leone during the civil war, he felt an urgent call to act. By 2005, he had sold his home and invested his resources into this cause, pursuing his dream of supporting the world’s most vulnerable children. Combining his background as a fine art student with his charitable efforts, Steve uses recycled timber blocks featuring his photography as a creative fundraising tool, blending artistry with philanthropy.
