Amazing work from a small but mighty team of volunteers at our Kenya Heartspring Children’s Village! Thank you to Alison, Christina & Sheila for your huge contribution to create a better world for our kids, as well as to everyone who donated to the project. You were so loved by all. So many tears have fallen.Quinter passed suddenly in Homa Bay hospital from complications with Sickle Cell Anemia.

Here’s Juliet, she’s been part of our Kenyan project since 2009 and has just been accepted to study a degree in Teaching at Nairobi University!!!!! We are so proud of you Juliet!!! From when we first met to now…what an incredible journey!

Good morning from our crew in Kamakwie Sierra Leone!

Check out our rather impressive Cassava crop in Kamakwie, Sierra Leone. Since fencing our project our crops no longer live in danger of wandering goats 🙂 and can grow freely, meaning more food for the kids 🙂 Kamakwie, Sierra Leone. 

Its taken a good deal of scrimping and saving to get the funds together to fence our projects in Sierra Leone. Finally we’ve managed to secure our Tombo project, keeping our project, staff and children nice and safe. Check that gate out! Nice! Next step might be for some new roofing sheets….

A few months ago a terrible storm came through and blew the roof off at our Kasese Children’s Village. It was all very dramatic and we were blessed that no one was hurt by flying sheets of metal!!! With your amazing support, we replaced the roof and have fixed all the damage. Our girls have

In September, one of our long-time volunteers, Alison Dillon, together with a small team, will visit Orphfund’s Heartspring Children’s Village in Kenya. Alison has previously volunteered at Heartspring and also Orphfund’s Sierra Leone Projects. The team plan to: -Repair damaged beds and provide new mattresses-Repair fence damage for children’s safety-Review sustainability food programs-Update the children’s profiles
