Our hearts are in Kasese today after the passing of our beloved Paul Bwambale.

Born with sickle-cell anemia, Paul’s 16 years have been a hard road that he traveled with quiet grace and a shy smile.

We are beyond grateful that since he became part of our OrphFund family in 2009 that we have been able to give him a home, specialist medical care, pain management and love that he deserved.

He will be much-missed by his brothers and sisters at Kasese Children’s Village, the local carers and staff, as well as all of the OrphFund team that knew him.

Paul is to be buried today in his village. His funeral will be attended by all his family and tribe, his OrphFund brothers and sisters and our local team. Over the next few days, there will be much feasting and music for all that knew him to celebrate his life. The sound system is already cranking and his people are dancing. ❤️

Paul’s international OrphFund family are also all there too in our hearts.

N’gwanzarie Paul ❤️ It has been a great honor to know you. Thank you for all those amazing squeezy hugs.
