Grasshopper Goodness!

With the rains, comes tasty snacks. From November to January you can find grasshoppers (or as the locals call them ‘Nsenene’) all over Uganda, with some using traps to catch the little hoppers to sell (two big pieces of metal sheet held together in a V shape to create a funnel). Others, run around in the grass outside catching as many as their little hands can grab. Limbs removed and toasted up, you would swear you were eating a packet of honey soy chips… Will you come try them while on our next volunteer trip?
